Please Select Either Full Or Associate Membership

FULL MEMBERSHIP

Full Membership is granted to individuals who demonstrate a sustained commitment to excellence in the field of traumatology. Standard qualifications include a Doctorate or Master’s degree. Master’s degree holders must provide evidence of a minimum of two years of professional experience directly supporting individuals who have experienced traumatic events or crisis situations. Recognizing that professional expertise is not exclusively defined by academic credentials, the Executive Officers reserve the right to grant membership to individuals who have made demonstrable and significant contributions to the mission of the organization. This discretionary process ensures the inclusion of diverse expertise and experience, thereby enhancing the organization’s capacity to serve the field.

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP

Associate Membership is designated for individuals actively pursuing education or those who have retired from professional practice. Associate members enjoy all standard membership benefits, excluding eligibility for the Diplomate credential. However, the Executive Board retains the authority to permit Associate Members to apply for Diplomate and Fellowship credentials based on individual merit and qualifications. This membership level fosters engagement within the traumatology community for those in transitional phases of their careers. This discretionary provision acknowledges diverse pathways to expertise and allows for the potential recognition of exceptional contributions, ensuring the organization remains inclusive and responsive to the evolving needs of the field.
